Let's Get Outside!
Let’s get outside!
If you have ever lived in an area with substantial seasonal weather changes, you understand the euphoria of surviving another winter and entering spring. The sighting of that first crocus peeking through the soil is amazing! It’s a great time to take inventory of your wardrobe too. What fun it is to come across that cute blouse you forgot about which you bought at the end of the season last year for 50% off!
Spring ahead and get ready to go outside and enjoy the great outdoors. Pull the deck furniture out of the shed; fluff up the cushions and —wait for it— buy some new outdoor linens! When choosing a fabric for your outdoor cloths, you can always go with the familiar look of a picnic check or maybe a tropical print, but don’t sell yourself short. A lovely damask may be just what your picnic table needs to elevate it to the next level. As long as your fabric is washable, there is no reason to avoid using it for your next summer barbeque. Prints of all sorts look fantastic in an outdoor setting— stripe, geometric prints, florals, polka dots, and even traditional toile patterns. The other advantage to using a print cloth versus a solid is that any linen with a pattern will disguise a stain much better than a solid fabric. We all know that ketchup and mustard stains are unavoidable pitfalls at summer parties.
If you have an umbrella over your table, it is much easier to remove the cloth for washing if it has a slit with Velcro® closure. This way you don’t have to lift that unwieldly umbrella every time the cloth needs a bath! Just separate the Velcro and remove, easy as 1-2-3! To keep the cloths from blowing in the wind, you can order an elasticized cap for round or oval tables. If you have a square or rectangular table, a fitted cloth with elastic straps in the corner is a great solution for a windy day.
Don’t want to cover up you beautiful new outdoor table? Consider placemats. We can make them in any size or shape and you may pick almost any fabric we carry. In some cases, you may use a different fabric or color on each side. Have you seen a wedge-shaped placemat? They are perfect for round tables!
Get ready for all of your warm weather festivities!
